In addition to the well-known heroes of the series, NetherRealm Studios is also introducing new characters in Mortal Kombat 1. These include the two warriors Smoke and Rain. A new trailer introduces the two of them in detail.
The two brothers Sub-Zero and Scorpion try to protect the Earth Kingdom against outside forces through the Lin Kuei clan.
One member of the warrior clan is Smoke, who specialises in cunning and practical magic. As the trailer shows, he joins the brothers on their mission.
In Rain on the other hand, is a high mage of the outside world. He is able to use water magic as a weapon and hopes to learn the darkest and most powerful magic of all the realms.

With Mortal Kombat 1, NetherRealm Studios is giving its acclaimed franchise a reboot and launching a new story with old familiar characters. We’ll find out how this will play out on September 19 when the fighter is released for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
