Snoop Dogg is creating his own metaverse. There, a property in the rapper’s neighbourhood was sold for $500,000.
Snoop Dogg is creating his own virtual world, the Snoopverse. A plot of land in the rapper’s metaverse has already been sold to an NFT collector, making him Snoop Dogg’s virtual neighbour.
The Metaverse is an immersive 3D digital world where people can communicate, work and play together. There, virtual space is increasingly connected with real life. Rapper Snoop Dogg has also created such a world with “The Sandbox Game”. As early as September 2021, he announced on Twitter that he would pay a visit to the Metaverse. In the process, Snoop Dogg’s world bears the name Snoopverse.

There the rapper is attempting to recreate a virtual replica of his mansion in California. So far, people only have access to the development of Snoopverse if a sum of 3,000 US dollars is paid. A sale of land in the virtual world of Snoop Dogg already began at the beginning of December 2021. The NFT collector “P-Ape” bought a plot of land next to the rapper’s mansion.

Over 450,000 US dollars donated by the user for the virtual piece of land. This moves the NFT collector into the neighbourhood of the famous rapper – but only in the virtual world of the Snoopverse. In the real world, the price for a plot of land next to Snoop Dogg’s mansion in California could be considerably more expensive.
