Is this still Minecraft or can it already be called Elden Ring? This question is answered by a modder with a simple “Yes”.
Have you ever wondered what a mixture of Minecraft and Elden Ring could look like? If not, you’ll get the answer now: A fan of both games has played our favourite brick game into a pixelated copy of Elden Ring.
Only 40 mods were used to transform gameplay, enemies, dungeons and more. The result is impressive.
Minecraft meets Elden Ring
This is what it looks like: Responsible for the curious experiment is the (YouTuber AsianHalfSquat). In his almost 20-minute video, the Minecraft-YouTuber presents how the block game can be transformed into an Elden Ring clone. Around 40 different mods were used in the process – but it’s best to take a look for yourself:
What exactly is different now? The result is definitely not bad. Because after the general overhaul, Minecraft not only looks noticeably different, it also plays like it. The combat system, for example, becomes much more complex due to a wide variety of weapons, while even the most harmless enemies can become a real challenge.
In addition, new bosses patrol the game world, which, in the best Minecraft style, can also reduce the game world to rubble. So you won’t escape your (optional) opponents quite as easily as in Elden Ring. Where is Stormwind when you need it …?
But also visually Minecraft almost takes on a completely different character. The game looks much less life-affirming with new textures and a modified game world – just as you are used to from the interlands for the most part. A loot system based on Elden Ring naturally rewards the explorers among you. Minecraft players have probably never had any difficulties with this.
How can I play this myself? AsianHalfSquat has compiled the package of nearly 40 mods himself and collected it into a single download. You can download Shattered Ring for free (under this link). How exactly the installation works is explained in detail in the video.
