A joke at the expense of the role-playing epic turns out to be a boomerang for the series authors. Because they apparently didn’t do that much research.

First of all: This message is to be understood with a big wink. Baldur’s Gate 3 has caused quite a stir this year, which of course earned it a place in the cult series South Park. The series is always known for taking current issues and parodying them.

Bad only that the authors were a little off with a gear – but the developers take it sportingly and clarify.

Crosssave between PC and PS5? No – Yes!

In the episode broadcast on October 27, 2023 Joining the Panderverse Eric Cartman dreams of an alternate universe. In this universe many things are different, but Baldur’s Gate 3 also exists there. However, without its cross-save functionality. This refers to the possibility of synchronizing game states between different platforms.

When asked if Baldur’s Gate 3 doesn’t support crosssave between different universes, Stan answers that the RPG doesn’t even offer crosssave between PC and PS5.

And while Baldur’s Gate doesn’t actually crosssave between multiverses (that we know of), there is a way to transfer your save game from PC to PlayStation 5, as Baldur’s Gate 3 creator Larian clarifies on X (formerly Twitter).

And as it is on the Internet, the funny comments are not long in coming!

For example, X-User (Stardust Legacy) writes in allusion to the gigantic scope of Baldur’s Gate 3, that Cartman has only played 50 hours and is therefore still at the beginning anyway. Others, however, describe the interaction of the two channels as legendary or wonder which romances Cartman has chosen.

Have you already made use of the Corsssave feature or will you remain loyal to your platform? Have you spent more hours roleplaying than Cartman? And which side character has turned your head so much that you have entered into a romance with him or her? Write it down in the comments!
