In a nine-minute gameplay video for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Cal Kestis beats down everything in front of his lightsabers on the planet Koboh.
On April 28, 2023, the time has finally come: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor after a slight delay, brings back Jedi Knight Cal Kestis, who continues to grapple with his Imperial pursuers five years after the events of the prequel. Now there’s a nine-minute gameplay video from (IGN) that gives us a more concrete idea of the upcoming Star Wars game
What does the new gameplay show? In the video, we join Jedi: Survivor protagonist Cal Kestis (Cameron Monaghan) and his trusty droid companion BD-1 on the planet Koboh, where both have landed not so willingly. After a secret mission goes wrong, the Mantis over Koboh is broken and Cal must set about somehow repairing his spaceship.

The most important details from the gameplay: Of course we noticed one or two important details in the gameplay video for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. We have collected the most important information for you in the following bullet point list:
- Cal switches between different fighting styles pretty quickly: sometimes he wields a lightsaber, sometimes two lightsabers, sometimes his double blade.
- Cal makes use of different moves with the Force: for example, he freezes time, throws grenades back at his opponents, pulls enemies towards him or throws them off cliffs.
- As usual, Cal has no respect for the local fauna and kills pretty much any animal that crosses his path.
- Cal also has to deal with mercenaries, as well as modified battle droids, super battle droids and Magna Guards of the Trade Federation from the prequels.
- As in the first part, different enemy factions also fight each other – on Koboh, for example, battle droids against wild animals.
- The power ability called psychometry also makes a comeback – with it Cal can draw information and impressions from certain objects or even deceased NPCs.
- Naturally, BD-1 also gets something to do and pulls new clothes out of locked containers – it’s not even a poncho!
- Unfortunately, nothing of Cal’s new blaster or lightsaber variation with a parry bar can be seen in the gameplay video.
