Nintendo has had a lot to offer long-time Star Wars fans in recent months. Over the weekend, another announcement made them even more excited. At the start of next month, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords will be released for the Nintendo Switch.

The first part was already released on Nintendo’s hybrid console in November last year. Now, publisher Aspyr announced over the weekend that the standalone adventure Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords will also be released for the Switch on 8 June. Along with the announcement, Nintendo released an announcement trailer.

A difficult fate awaits you in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. After the Sith have almost completely wiped out the Jedi Order, the Old Republic also threatens to crumble. All hope of the Republic and the Jedi Order now rests on an exiled Jedi who is struggling to connect with the Force. Whether she heralds salvation or the end of the Republic depends solely on your choices.

Jedi or maybe Sith?

With Star Wars: KotOR II: The Sith Lords, you can expect a gripping RPG that blurs the lines between “right” and “wrong”. At the beginning of the game, you can choose between three Jedi classes, which have different power specialisations and abilities. As you progress, you can choose your heroine’s talents as you see fit.

As the story progresses, you will have to make some far-reaching decisions. They will either let you continue to walk on the light side of the Force. Or succumb to temptation and fall to the dark side of the Force.
Last but not least, you will lead a team of different allies, each with their own unique abilities and personal backstory. Your decisions will also affect the fate of your team members. For more Star Wars news, watch the announcement trailer for Jedi: Fallen Order: Survivor.
