(With these words) Stardew Valley creator ConcernedApe announced the 1.6 update a few months ago. In the meantime we know: Yes, he kept his word, because the new update does not come close to the gigantic update 1.5.
However, it has now become clear: We will still be able to look forward to plenty of new game content. In a new post on X (formerly Twitter) ConcernedApe has now published a list with some new features – mind you, some, because the list is still not complete, so there may be more content waiting for fans.

What exactly does Update 1.6 bring? The above list in German brings to light the following new content:
- A new big festival
- Two new mini festivals
- New content for later in the game focusing on the different skills
- New items and crafting recipes
- Joja alternatives for some end-game quests
- Over 100 new dialog lines
- Winter outfits for the villagers
- New rewards for completed order board quests
- Support for 8-player multiplayer (PC only)
- Many small additions and adjustments
- New farm type
- New secrets and more
You see: If you were planning to start again soon with Stardew Valley in the idyllic country life, update 1.6 could be the ideal time for you. However, there is no exact release date yet.
