Some time ago, Bethesda hinted that there could soon be a ground vehicle in Starfield. Now the first video footage of the upcoming rover has surfaced online

Starfield fans can breathe a sigh of relief, because their lives are about to get a whole lot easier. The days of tedious treks on barren planetary surfaces are numbered, because according to a leak, the release of ground vehicles for Bethesda’s space role-playing game is apparently imminent.

Bethesdaconfirmed the development of a surface vehicle in an update videoback in May, and now a first video of the upcoming vehicle update has surfaced online.

AsGameRantandDSOGamingreport, a 28-second video has been circulating on X, formerly Twitter, since August 10, which is said to show one of the alleged ground vehicles from Starfield. We have embedded the video below:

The clip shows a player in a jeep-like vehicle hurtling across a desert landscape at high speed. Thanks to the low gravity, the buggy loses traction several timesand takes off.

The material is said to have originally come from 4chan, so it cannot be verified. However, there is much to suggest that it is genuine. For example, the planet shown in the video appears to be Jemison, the third planet in the Alpha Centauri system and the location of the city of New Atlantis.

A car for everyone?

It is still unclear whether the vehicle will be part of the first official add-onShattered Spaceor whether it will be made available to all players free of charge.Neither the car nor Shattered Space have an official release date yet.

The Twitter account@BethesdaArabic(not an official account), which also shared the leak, wrote that according to the sourcethe vehicles could officially come to the game this month, and also sharedan image of the car in a barren Martian landscape

The websiteInsider Gaminghowever, recently reported that the release of Shattered Space is planned for September. This could indicate that the car will not be part of the paid DLC, but rather part of a general update for all players
