Bethesda has released the biggest update yet for its role-playing game Starfield, introducing numerous new features. The developers have listened to feedback from the community and integrated some long-awaited features. In a recently published video, the leading members of the development team discuss the content of the update and give an insight into the improvements.

More details on planet surfaces

One of the main changes that fans can look forward to is the display of planetary surfaces. Thanks to the update, significantly more details will now be visible on the maps, including height differences in the terrain, vegetation and buildings in the loading zones. This makes navigation much easier and improves the exploration of the various planets in Starfield. Orientation in the game’s cities is also made easier with markings for stores, infirmaries, restaurants and more.

In addition, adjustments have been made to the gameplay, including the ability to adjust the difficulty of battles in space and on the planets independently of each other. Players can now also try their hand at the “Extreme” mode, which offers an even greater challenge. In addition, the interior of spaceships and space stations has been significantly expanded to give players more customization options. From seating to technical equipment and decorations, there are numerous options to customize the interior to your own taste.

Aimed at Xbox players and upcoming expansions

The update is also aimed specifically at Xbox gamers and brings with it the long-awaited option to choose between Performance and Visual mode. Lead Creative Producer Tim Lamb also announced that the team is currently working on the first land vehicle for Starfield. Meanwhile, the “Shattered Space” expansion is planned for the fall. Update 4 is available now on Steam and will be available for all platforms on May 15th. With these new features and improvements, Starfield offers its players an even more immersive and personalized gaming experience.
