Modders were planning on a big community patch well before the release of Starfield. Now a first version of the project has been released

At release, Starfield pleased with a solid technical condition, but some bugs and glitches still sometimes cloud the gameplay. However, the large modding community has already made it their goal to address many of these problems with a community patch before the release. The first version of this patch is now available.

What does the community patch change?

You can see the full list of bug fixes and changes on (Nexusmods) . Esome of the most important points but we want to list you briefly:

  • Some abilities did not work as intended according to their description. These bugs have been fixed. For example, EM weapon systems now have the intended damage bonus applied by the corresponding skill. And Rejuvenation now actually heals you in combat at level four.
  • The number of undiscovered temples is now displayed correctly.
  • Your companions will no longer get mad when you board an enemy ship (such as pirates).
  • Characters now react as intended when you change their appearance.
  • Fixed a bug where your character always looks to the left.
  • Miscellaneous spelling errors in subtitles and descriptions have been fixed.

The community patch is a collaborative effort between various modders and will likely be updated with more bug fixes and changes in the near future, but there is no schedule for updates.

How do I install the community patch?

If you have also encountered one or two bugs that will be fixed by the community patch, you can download it now (on Nexusmods) The creators recommend the use of a mod manager like (Vortex) that will help you with the installation.

But before you can use the patch, you need to install (Starfield Script Extender), as well as (Plugin Enabler) Both tools can be installed via Mod Manager. Once you have everything set up, you can also use the Mod Manager download when installing the tools and patch. Make sure you read the description and installation instructions carefully

Have you already installed one or two mods for Starfield? Is modding still too complicated for you and you prefer to wait for the official mod support? Or do you prefer to play Bethesda games in their original form without community content? And have you had problems with bugs so far? Feel free to write it to us in the comments!
