It’s Thursday and so is Midweek Madness on Steam. We have picked out 12 very good games for you, which are currently cheap
In the middle of the week you are again spoiled for choice. But that’s no reason to worry, because if you like bargain hunting, but tend to lose track in the mass of offers on Steam, then you’ll find a curated list of real recommendations here. These currently reduced games on Steam are definitely worth checking out at the current price!
Highlight of the week: Chivalry 2
- Genre & Release: Multiplayer action – June 8, 2021.
- Discount & Price: 60 percent off – 14 instead of 36 euros.
- Offer valid until: November 1, 2023

You always found the idea of Battlefield appealing? Precisely because massive battle scenarios are experienced here from the perspective of a single soldier? Where hundreds of soldiers fight for their lives while vehicles race around and command points are conquered. Swap soldiers for knights and vehicles for horses and you have Chivalry 2! The perfect medieval battlefield for in between.
With this wonderfully black-humored swordplay game, you can run into battle as a knight, lansquenet, or archer, bringing massive castles to their knees, or – even more likely – getting shot once across half the map by a ballista. Chivalry 2 may not be the most sophisticated of multiplayer games – but it’s just a ton of fun. All the chaos, all the medieval atmosphere. Simply wonderful! And on Steam the fun costs less than ever before.
More exciting games in the sale
- Inscryption: A thoroughly ingenious card game, precisely because it turns the genre on its head and above all makes you doubt your own sanity. Just about as cheap as you’ll ever get. (10 instead of 20 Euro)
- Batman: Arkham Asylum: One of the best superhero games of all time, in which you, as Batman, rid the claustrophobic corridors of Arkham Sanatorium of freed criminals and madmen. (5 instead of 20 Euro)
- Red Dead Redemption 2: One of the most detailed open-world games, with a wonderfully believable Wild West setting, garnished with a terrific story. (24 instead of 60 Euro)
- Blacksad: Under the Skin: Gritty noir adventure centered around a tomcat detective that, as with Telltale adventures, shines above all narratively. Just about as good a deal as you’ll ever get. (5 instead of 20 Euro)
- Battlefield 2042: Yes, not the best Battlefield ever, but for a few entertaining rounds in a semi-futuristic war setting definitely usable! Especially since it’s cheaper than ever right now. (10 instead of 60 Euro)
- Valiant Hearts: The Great War: A really wonderful 2D adventure game that shows the horrors of WW1 from a human perspective, adding to the horror. (4 instead of 15 Euro)
- A Plague Tale: Innocence: Graphically excellent puzzle and sneak adventure game, centered around a sister and her little brother in medieval France. (8 instead of 40 Euro)
- Rise of the Tomb Raider: The second part of the Tomb Raider reboot, in which Lara Croft travels to Siberia and takes on the crooks of the Trinity organization in an action-packed way. (2 instead of 10 Euro)
- Children of Morta: A narratively surprisingly strong action role-playing game in a charming pixel look, all about an extraordinary hero family. (5 instead of 22 Euro)
- Cloudpunk: An underrated cyberpunk adventure in which you experience a great story as you whiz through the neon metropolis as an illegal package delivery driver. (7 instead of 20 Euro)
- Syberia: The World Before: A surprisingly sophisticated adventure game set in two second levels that continues the story of its predecessors in an exciting way. Just as cheap as never before. (10 instead of 40 Euro)
- The Walking Dead: Definitive Series: This all-encompassing collection includes all four seasons of Telltale’s brilliant adventure series, centered around Lee and Clementine. An emotional journey you should have played. (12 instead of 50 Euro).
