The big co-op festival is currently taking place on Steam, and we’ve picked out the best offers for you and your loved ones.
The current big Steam sale has the somewhat unwieldy name “Steam Local Multiplayer Festival”. That’s why we’re simply calling it the Steam Couch Co-op Sale!
This sale is for co-op games that you can play together on one monitor (for example, in split screen). Hundreds of games are on sale, and the promotion runs from February 10 to February 17, 2025
To help you find your way through the jumble of offers in the couch co-op sale, we’ve dug up seven recommendations for you that can also be played together via online co-op. And now, without further ado, here we go.
Highlight of the week: Divinity: Original Sin 2
- Genre: Role-playing game
- Release: September 2017
- GlobalESportNews rating: 93/100
Larians Meisterwerk Divinity: Original Sin 2 was long considered the best role-playing game ever – until Larians’s next masterpiece Baldur’s Gate 3 took over the relay. But while Baldur’s Gate 3 still costs 48 euros even at the current 20 percent discount, you can get the very well-aged Original Sin 2 for a mere 13.50 euros (70 percent discount).
And for that money, you still get an excellent fantasy role-playing game with exciting characters, an intuitive yet complex combat system, and countless ways to shape the course of the story to your own preferences. What’s more, Original Sin 2 supports co-op for up to four players.
You can either play in splitscreen with two people in front of the same computer or online with four people or a mix of both – the game is pleasantly flexible here. If you haven’t played Original Sin 2 yet but like Baldur’s Gate 3, then you should definitely give it a try.

More exciting offers
We would also like to recommend a few more co-op games that we rarely recommend:
- Monaco is already 12 years old, but it is still a unique co-op experience in which you plan and execute a heist together. So it’s kind of like Payday, but without the horde-shooter stuff and from a top view. It costs 3 euros on Steam with 80 percent discount:
- Battletoads was considered one of the most difficult games on the planet in the 90s, but the 2020 remake is a bit more accessible. With 90 percent off for 2 Euro. With Steam Remote Play, only one of the three players needs to own the game.
- Project Zomboid is an absolute survival phenomenon, because it simulates almost every aspect that you can possibly simulate to prepare for the impending zombie apocalypse. In multiplayer, it’s unforgettable but also demanding fun. Definitely worth a look at 13 euros or with 33 percent discount
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate should not be confused with the equally excellent Shredder’s Revenge Splintered Fate was released at the end of 2024 and is a kind of Turtles version of Hades. Up to four people play as the Ninja Turtles as they make their way through dungeons, some of which are randomly generated, and beat everything up to buy upgrades, fail and start over. It plays great and currently costs 18 euros (35 percent discount)
- Streets of Rage 4 is an absolute classic among beat ’em ups, which you can play through in one evening in couch or online co-op. You’ll fight your way through gangster-infested streets, listen to the groovy soundtrack and hopefully snack on something tasty. With 60 percent discount currently available for 10 euros to have.
- Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef is one of the few 40K games where you get to play the orcs. And as usual, they’re up to no good: you shoot your way through wacky levels, either solo or in co-op, unlock upgrades with collected enemy teeth, and enjoy the over-the-top 40K humor. With 50 percent off for 10 euros
And if that’s not your thing either, then… well, just tell us what you’re treating yourself to or which favorites you prefer to play in co-op.
