You can try out the next game from the makers of the hit “Dave The Diver” for free at the end of November – and it promises to be darkest fare

If Dave The Diver is held next to the next work from developer Mintrocket, you won’t believe your eyes, and yet: Nakwon: Last Paradise will build on the success of the culinary diver in 2024 with a completely different concept and you will soon be able to venture into the zombie apocalypse yourself.

A public and free pre-alpha playtest will open its doors soon:

  • From when?: The playtest starts on Thursday, November 30th, at 2am time.
  • Until when? It ends on Tuesday, December 5, at 9 a.m. time.
  • Where? You will be able to download the client (via Steam from the game page)&nbsp.

What is Nakwon: Last Paradise

Thanks to the gameplay above, you can get a good idea of what to expect in the playtest. But in a nutshell, Nakwon: Last Paradise is best described as an Escape from Tarkov with zombies.

You enter a zone in the style of an extraction shooter and fight your way through it alone or in co-op up to 16 other players – as well as countless zombies. Ultimately, all humans want to escape the infested area with as much loot as possible and the undead crave snacks

Focus on melee combat: There are firearms in Nakwon: Last Paradise, but they are at least as rare as the ammunition to use them. Your success will therefore not depend on your aim, but on your observation, hiding and close combat skills.

Immortal Zombies: Because the ever-hungry, mindless masses of undead are immortal. However, you can send them to the ground temporarily to buy time. In this PvPvE game, it is therefore truly advisable to limit yourself to the necessary battles – you cannot win against the hostile environment. You may only be able to survive them again and again.

Meta-Progress: There will also be a progression system between each trip into the zone, where your Citizen Grade decides all sorts of things. For example, levels give you access to new equipment

When will Nakwon: Last Paradise be released?  We don’t expect it to be released until 2024 at the earliest. The note Available soon on Steam probably refers to the aforementioned pre-alpha playtest. Perhaps we will receive an update regarding the release date after the first public test phase has been completed.

Dave The Diver has clearly shown in 2023 what a gem of a game can emerge thanks to innovation at crucial points. And the title in question manages this despite its origins in the offices of a global corporation. Why can’t Activision, EA or other giants in the industry do that?

What do you think about Nakwon: Last Paradise? Is it a not-so-secret tip for all survival fans with a multiplayer penchant? Or do you find the title rather generic and interchangeable? Will you be taking part in the playtest? Or do you rather reject such early insights, as they almost always have numerous rough edges? Let us know your opinion and thoughts in the comments!
