In the tactical shooter Ready or Not, the March update brings new content and features. A new map is also live in the meantime.
The tactical shooter Ready or Not has a regular update cadence in Early Access on Steam. VOID Interactive relies on monthly content, function and improvement patches. The March update was released on 31 March 2022.
It contains a new weapon, new gameplay features and more. In addition, a new map has already been released between the major patches. We introduce you to the new features.
If you want to find out first how Ready or Not works, take a look at the following trailer. After all, the shooter is different from most of the well-known genre representatives and relies on gameplay that hasn’t been implemented since 2005’s SWAT 4:
This is new in Ready or Not
In the last update in February, Ready or Not already brought a new map with Club, but it still consists mostly of grey boxes. The brand new map is called Brisa Cove and seems to be fully fleshed out.
It goes into luxury flats that have been hijacked by terrorists. So far, only one mode is available to play, involving barricaded suspects and hostages.
This is what’s in the March update
Let’s get to the new features in the March patch of Ready or Not. After buyers of the expensive Supporter Edition got access first, the update is now available to all players.
- New Weapons: With the grenade launchers M32A1 for Flashbang rounds and M320 for Flash, Stinger and Gas, players have been given new tactical options for non-lethal subduing of suspects.
- New feature: SWAT police officers can now pick up handcuffed suspects and civilians on their shoulders and carry them out of the field of fire. Previously, NPCs could only be pushed to the side.
- New AI weaponry: NPC enemies can wear and detonate bomb belts in certain scenarios and maps.
- New Sight Option: Users of a night vision visor now have the choice of white or green light.
- New Sounds: More SWAT and NPC actions now emit their own sounds. For example, knife attacks now have specific sounds
In addition, the update for Ready or Not is full of other improvements concerning physics, maps, network, performance and bug fixes, among others. You can read the full patch notes at (Steam).
