Against the Storm sends you into the post-apocalypse where you have to build a new civilisation. However, you don’t get the expected sci-fi setting here, but fantasy. Accordingly, in your settlement you will not only take care of the needs of humans, but also humanoid beavers, lizards and harpies.
The trailer introduces you to your task: As Viceroy, you must establish new colonies and gather resources on behalf of the Queen. However, there are many ways to achieve this goal. Since the game also sees itself as a roguelite, a lot revolves around you adapting to the means given to you. For the world is in a constant state of flux.
You can try out a (Demo) of the game on Steam. However, you won’t have to wait much longer for the release. Against the Storm is scheduled for release in October 2022.
