We scour Steam, Epic, Origin, Uplay & Co. and present you here with the current best games for under 5 Euros.
New PC games are getting more and more expensive – and yet there are always good offers for games that you could even casually pay for out of your petty cash.
We in the editorial team have rummaged around a bit in the shops and picked out a few cool games for which you don’t even have to pay 5 euros. This is due to certain Steam sale promotions, for example, or a generally low price. Let’s go through the offers.
Table of Contents
Steam
On Steam you can currently find the widest range of games for under 5 euros. You can find shooters, open worlds and classics for little money.
– Battlefield 1: Before you jump into battle again with the upcoming Battlefield 2042, you can pick up the enormously successful Battlefield 1 from 2016 at a bargain price. (around 5 euros until 4 August)
– Dead Space + Dead Space 3: The two parts of the classic horror shooter in space are also on sale right now. However, you can currently only get the second part outside of Germany on Steam. (around 4 and 5 Euros until 3 August)
– DiRT Rally 2.0: Two years after its release, you can get the popular racing simulation from Codemasters at a special price (around 5 Euros until 10 August)
– Just Cause 3: If you’re in the mood for crazy action in a sandbox open world, you can’t miss Just Cause 3 – and you can get it for less than 5 Euros (around 3 Euros until 11 August)
– Tomb Raider: You can also get the reboot of the action adventure game about heroine Lara Croft for little money (around 3 euros until 11 August)
– Deus Ex: Mankind Divided: The latest part of the sneaky role-playing game series with unique freedom of choice is currently heavily discounted (around 4 Euros until 11 August)
Uplay
You can also get some games for a small price at Ubisoft right now. Two of them are especially worthwhile:
– The Settlers + The Settlers 2 – History Edition: Since news about the upcoming Settlers will probably be a while coming, it’s worth taking a look at the beginnings of the building series. You can get two of the best parts in the new History Edition for a small price (around 1 Euro each)
GOG
For those interested in classics, GOG has many permanently low-priced offers, mostly on older games. But old stays gold, or something.
– Myst Masterpiece Edition: The classic of puzzle point&clicks is still worth a look if you like mysterious stories and retro flair (around 5 Euro)
– Anvil of Dawn: Role-playing games still work without a huge open world. Anvil of Dawn, one of the best genre representatives, is permanently available on GOG for less than 5 Euros (around 5 Euro)
– Dungeon Keeper 2: If you like a mix of building strategy, dungeon management and humour and want to be on the dark side, this classic is for you (around 5 Euro)
– SimCity 2000: Even more retro feeling with the second part of the city-building simulation series from Maxis (around 5 euros)
– Roller Coaster Tycoon: Deluxe: Who doesn’t remember the wonderfully perilous roller coaster creations of the park construction game? For little money you can experience a little time travel via GOG (around 5 Euro)
Origin & Microsoft
Origin and Microsoft are special cases. Yes, you can also find some games there that cost under 10 or 5 euros. But honestly, you’ll get much, much more here if you just try the respective subscription service for a month
For example, if you subscribe to EA Play Basic for 4 euros, you get full access to Battlefield 5, Dead Space, Unravel 2, Anthem, all the old Star Wars games, Battlefront 2 and, and, and. Who it’s worth it for
Alternatively, you can also subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass for PC for 1 euro in the first month. You get complete access to the Halo series, the Gears games, Forza Horizon 4, Age of Empires and many more. For around 13 euros a month you get the Game Pass Ultimate, which also includes EA Play Basic
Of course there are many more games for 5 Euro or less out there. This serves as a crisp selection of the editorial team, but we reserve the right to pick out more offers for you, add them and possibly even update them weekly. With Epic, for example, we haven’t found any really exciting deals for so little money yet – but that can change.
