This weekend you get the chance to chug through the terrain in jeeps for free in Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game

It’s hot, the sun is blazing and wet sweat is running everywhere you least need it. It’s too hot to go out, but staying inside and vegetating is kind of boring too.

That’s where a free weekend on Steam comes in handy And this time you can even travel the world without leaving the safety of your own four walls and melting, yay!

Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game

Release date: 05.03.2024 –Genre: Simulation –Free to play until: 09.09.204

(Expedition: A Mudrunner Game free to play on Steam)

Expeditions: A Mudrunner Gamewas developed by Saber Interactive and made its debut in March 2024. Fans of car simulations may already be familiar with titles such asSnowrunnerand, unsurprisingly, Mudrunner from the same company.

While in these games you carry heavy cargo from A to B through rough terrain, your goal in Expeditions is somewhat different.

You are part of a research expeditionand use your vehicles to search for ruins and dinosaur bones in various environments, map new areas and build bases.

The gameplay itself remains true to the Mudrunner series. Youmaneuver thick off-road vehicles through the most merciless terrain our earth has to offer, uncover the map more and more and get to see beautiful panoramas.

Of course, a successful expedition also requires the right vehicle. You can customize your vehicle fleet to suit your taste. This applies not only to the exterior, but also to the performance and extra storage space.

If you feel lonely in the endless expanses of Arizona or the Carpathian Mountains, you can also team up with fellow truckers. Up to four players can share the tailgate in co-op mode. This not only makes cruising less quiet, but also helps if you get stuck in the mud.

On Steam, Expeditions has received rather mediocre ratings. So if you’re a Snowrunner fan and are unsure whether this spin-off is for you, then the free weekend is just what you need.

Until September 9thyou can get behind the handlebars for free and form your own opinion. If you still need some input, you can check out our test in the box above
