Role-playing games are probably one of the oldest game genres in gaming history, and we’ve come a long way since we hunted monsters in classics like Wizardry or The Bard’s Tale. But there’s a reason why these classics made the genre so popular: they were just tremendously entertaining! Such games are rare in this form nowadays, but there are still people out there who love them. If you are one of them, then Thysiastery might be right up your alley! A completely new role-playing game, but one that could just as easily have seen the light of day in the 80s.

Thysiastery is a very classic 2D dungeon crawler in which you control your party of heroes through a pixelated labyrinth, fighting hordes of creatures in turn-based battles. Such games used to be pretty tough, but in Thysiastery you can adjust the difficulty to your needs using various modifiers. Maybe this will encourage some younger players to try the game and experience what role-playing games used to be like.
