We summarise all the information!

How do I get a beta key?

You can register for the beta of The Finals via Steam. Simply follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your Steam account
  2. (The Finals shop page) go to
  3. click “Request access”

Now you just have to check your email inbox to see if you receive an invitation. The keys will not be given out at the same time, but at intervals, so check your inbox regularly. Registering for the playtest is no guarantee that you will be selected. A portion of luck is needed!

Alternative tip: The hardware manufacturer Steelseries offers ( via its app) a limited contingent of keys for The Finals. With a valid account, you can access a code in the giveaway section of the app (while stocks last).

When does the beta run and end?

The Finals playtest will be active for a total of two weeks. The exact dates are:

  • Start: 7 March 2023 from approx. 14:00 hrs (server start will be staggered).
  • End: 21 March 2023 (exact time to be announced)

    How does The Finals play?

In the game show á la American Gladiators or Squid Game, the players compete in an arena for high prize money and the favour of sponsors. The whole thing plays like a fast-paced arcade arena shooter with an emphasis on teamwork and the tactical use of dynamic level destruction and various class abilities.

We have already played several hours before beta launch and are very excited about The Finals (and the destruction) so far! The new trailer sets the mood for the beta and shows in just under two minutes what you can expect in The Finals:

Where will the beta take place?

The Finals playtest is available exclusively (for PC via Steam). PlayStation and Xbox players cannot participate this time and will have to wait for a later date. However, The Finals is also scheduled to be released for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.

You can choose between classics like shotguns or rocket launchers and more experimental equipment like grappling hooks, jump pads or a cannon that shoots building foam.

The destructible environment is not only “eye candy”, but also needs to be used tactically in order to outsmart rival squads. Casual matches, ranked tournaments and a training area are available as game modes.
