The Last of Us will be filmed as a TV series! Now, for the first time, there is concrete footage of the HBO project, which once again makes Pedro Pascal a reluctant father figure.
A first proper trailer for The Last of Us is still a long time coming. Nevertheless, fans can be happy about a small foretaste of the upcoming TV series. HBO has published a preview of the upcoming in-house projects – and in it you can also find 20 seconds of video material for The Last of Us.
The Last of Us: This is what the first mini-teaser shows!
This mini-teaser not only shows Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian, Game of Thrones) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones, His Dark Materials) as Joel and Ellie. Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation, The Lego Movie) can also be seen in the role of Bill, while we catch our first glimpse of the zombie-like clickers.

What’s it about? The HBO series is a direct adaptation of the video game from developer studio Naughty Dog. However, the story is also to be expanded, the world and characters expanded by new insights and backgrounds, but the established plot of the original is not to be contradicted.
At its core, the story of The Last of Us revolves around the two survivors Joel and Ellie, who fight their way through a post-apocalyptic America several years after the end of the world to find a cure for the Cordyceps fungus, which turns people into bloodthirsty monsters. A pretty classic premise for a representative of the zombie genre.

When does it start? The Last of Us has no official release date at the moment. So far, all that is known is that the TV series will definitely not launch in 2022, so fans can expect the release sometime in 2023 at the earliest.
How many seasons are planned? While the first season consists of ten episodes, the complete series could span eight seasons. However, this is not set in stone and it remains to be seen how The Last of Us will develop after its release.
