In the newly announced survival game based on the famous dinosaur films, you have to fend for yourself on Isla Nublar
Shooters and survival games with dinosaurs already exist. What was missing until now was a title set in the world of the Jurassic Park films. But that is over with the announcement of . Just one day after the events of the first film, you take on the role of a scientist who has to escape from the failed adventure park.
Template clearly recognizable
In the first trailer for the single-player survival game, the developers throw movie references around: We discover Alan Grant’s hat on the ground, for example, and several well-known scenes are also recreated.
The main character is (chased by dinosaurs in a kitchen), faces a (poison-spitting Dilophosaurus) and of course waves a (flaming torch in front of a T-Rex). And during all this, the original soundtrack by John Williams plays over and over again. But watch the trailer for yourself:
But what does Jurassic Park: Survival have to offer beyond the clearly recognizable original? The developers have already revealed some details:
- Big World: Apparently we can explore the entire Isla Nublar, and of course also visit the well-known locations from the original film, such as the visitor center. It is not yet entirely clear whether this is really a coherent open world.
- Deadly dinosaurs: However, the excursion to the island will not be a Sunday stroll. Because hungry prehistoric beasts await us everywhere, which, according to the developers, have their own customizable behaviour.
- Sneaking and tricking: To survive, we must either remain undetected, distract the dinosaurs, or find other
intelligent solutions
to survive. - Release: While there is no release date yet, we already know that Jurassic Park: Survival will be released for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
