Raft Survival

For months there were no updates for Raft. But soon there will be no more radio silence, because the developers are preparing lots of new content.

Raft has been on hiatus for a long time, but not because the developers forgot about it. Rather, they were busy with a big new update for the survival game on the high seas. It is still unclear when the upcoming patch will be released, but there is now a lot of information about the contents.

What the new Raft update brings

The last time there were new building elements and friendly sea creatures like dolphins and turtles was in June 2021 with the Renovation Update. Now the developers reported back on Steam and revealed a lot about the next innovations in Raft.

More building content: The upcoming update aims to give you even more raft building options, so you can turn your rickety planks into a proper deck and your narrow raft into a proper ship.

Here you can see new screenshots of Raft:

Chapter 3 in the story: The big eye-catcher for end-game pirates might be the third chapter in the story of the Early Access game. Raft continues the mysterious story, and fittingly, there are also new locations to discover and explore. One of them even takes you to an icy polar region:

The second place reminds you of the civilisation whose whereabouts you have to find out in Raft in the first place:

New Trading Post: You just dump your leftover resources in the sea? That’s bad karma! After the upcoming update you will be able to press them into square scrap cubes. Practical and good! The cubes will then serve as currency at the new trading posts you can find in the game world. There you can exchange the rubbish for special recipes or stylish hats, for example.

New playable characters: The co-op hit Raft also gets new characters so that you can better tell your friends apart in the future. However, you first have to meet the characters in the game to unlock them.
