Steam is the place to go for PC games for many gamers. But which games have the best rating there?

The impact that ratings can have on the success of a game is shown by the releases of Battlefield 2042 or eFootball PES. But of course there are also absolute high-flyers – at least for the fans.

We take a look at the ten best-rated games on the games platform Steam. And there are some surprises there too.

Place 10: Euro Truck Simulator 2

(Rating 96.75% – 19,99 Euro on (Steam)

No genre is associated with Steam in such an iconic way as simulators of some kind. And with Truck Simulator, even one of the biggest YouTube hits has made it into the top 10. Yet the gameplay is completely explained in the name – and that didn’t bother 496,484 reviewers at all.

Place 9: Half Life Alyx

When the game based around the Portal Gun hit the market, many were blown away. That’s how new and wild the gameplay, which ended up being quite simple, was staged. But whether the cake is a lie is perhaps not known by all 99,307 people who have given the game a positive review since 2007.

Place 6: Stardew Valley

(Rating 97.09% – €13.99 on (Steam)

Even on Twitch, Stardew Valley has excited many streamers. This has certainly contributed to the hype around the self-sufficient life in the game. 422,634 people had at least some fun surviving.

Place 5: Terraria
