Unfortunately, this info is still unconfirmed and should be chalked up as a rumor. However, we don’t want to withhold it from you, because the source, the website (Insider-Gaming), seems to be very sure of the correctness of their leak.
Far Cry 7 as a kidnapping drama?
The name of the game: Internally, Far Cry 7 is said to be codenamed Project Blackbird. Thus, the new leak contradicts earlier rumors that titled the game as Far Cry: Rise.
This is what it’s supposed to be about: Far Cry 7 is not supposed to be centered around a charismatic villain on a tropical island this time. Rather, we are to embody the member of a very wealthy family. A group of radical conspiracy theorists called Sons of Truth
have kidnapped our family members, and it’s up to us to save them.
The problem: According to the leak, we only have a limited amount of time to do so! Exactly how much has allegedly not yet been decided internally at Ubisoft. Currently, the counter is at 72 in-game hours, which corresponds to 24 real hours. At least the timer can be paused when we enter one of the so-called safehouses in the game.
