The mega-campaign Immortal Empires for Total War: Warhammer 3 finally has a date. In addition, the developers reveal new info and changes.
Many fans have been waiting for only one thing since the release of Total War: Warhammer 3: The mega-campaign Immortal Empires, in which all factions of the trilogy clash on a huge world map in a conflict of epic proportions.
Developer Creative Assembly has now finally announced a concrete release date for the long-awaited game mode and revealed further details.
Immortal Empires launches in a few weeks
Creative Assembly released a new Q&A video on 14 July, with various developers taking questions from the Reddit community:
The most important question was answered at the very end: Immortal Empires will launch into beta on August 23, 2022 . Specifically, this means that while all of the planned content will be present, you can expect to encounter bugs and technical issues – for those who played Warhammer 3 at release, this is guaranteed to sound familiar.

But there are also some notable details in the rest of the video. We have picked out a few highlights for you
Reworked Factions: Many of the old factions from Warhammer 1 and 2 are getting changes to fit into the new Giant campaign. The revisions aren’t as extensive as the greenskins in Warhammer 2, but you can look forward to things like changed research trees and new starting positions
Unveiling of starting positions: In the video you can see a short tracking shot over a large part of the new world map, which also shows the starting positions for many factions.
We have the full map for you:
No Realm of Chaos: While excursions into the Realm of Chaos play an important role in the Warhammer 3 campaign, they are completely omitted in Immortal Empires. This is not too surprising, as Creative Assembly already announced a few weeks ago that the special mechanics of the Chaos Realm campaign will not be present. So you can look forward to a traditional, conquest-focused gameplay experience.
New victory conditions: In Immortal Empires, each faction will of course also receive new victory conditions. There will be short and long variants. In the short version you have to achieve a certain goal with your legendary leader, while in the long version you have to complete more elaborate tasks – such as wiping out a faction on the other side of the world.
