At release, many players of TW Warhammer 3 are struggling with bugs and crashes. We have some solutions for you
However, the release is overshadowed by technical problems: Many players complain about crashes, bad performance and other technical problems. If you are also affected: The developers already have first solutions to the problems, which we show you in this article.
Technical problems cause player rage
Shortly after the release there were the first negative Steam reviews, which have become more and more throughout the day: Of around 3,500 reviews, a full 51 percent are negative. If you take a look at the (Steam page of TW: Warhammer 3), you mainly read criticism of the technical state of the game:
- Even on strong systems there are performance problems.
- Graphics card, CPU and RAM are not fully utilised by the game.
- Falls for no apparent reason.
- Poor optimisation.
However, these are not the sole reason for the extremely low Steam ratings. As industry expert Daniel Ahmad explains on Twitter, review bombing by Chinese gamers is also behind this.
Warhammer III was set to continue the same trend with strong pre-orders from Chinese players that access the international version of Steam
However, some of the core players have been upset by how Creative Assembly and Chinese game live streaming site DouYu handled promotion
– Daniel Ahmad (@ZhugeEX) February 17, 2022
Their problem: Creative Assembly distributed pre-release versions in the run-up to the release to too many streamers who have no idea at all about Total War games. Since these have already played through the complete game in the last few weeks without regard to spoilers, many fans of the series now feel cheated.
True to the motto: I am a hardcore fan and pre-ordered for a lot of money, why were streamers without a clue allowed to play through it for free now? They are therefore now letting the developers feel their anger on Steam.
