A video introduces different regions and realms of Immortal Empires in detail and also shows how gigantic the map is.
Strategists and Warhammer fans will soon be able to embark on a huge campaign. On 23 August, Immortal Empires will be released as an open beta for Warhammer 3 and will let you conquer the largest map ever seen in a Total War game as one of 86 legendary commanders.
Shortly before the release, the developers show us again in a video what gigantic dimensions we can expect and lead us in a long tracking shot across the map. We show you the new trailer and give you some background information. Everything else you need to know about Immortal Empires can be found in our (Overview):
This is going to be a long campaign
Over 13 minutes long, the annotated video shows the most diverse corners and ends of the huge Immortal Empires map. Factions, characters and their challenges are introduced. But it’s best to watch it for yourself:
The video also gives a good impression of the enormous dimensions of the map: 554 regions with their own settlements will be conquered in Immortal Empires and at the start of the game there will be 287 factions on the map. Of course, not all of them are shown in the video, but some important factions and commanders are mentioned, such as:
- High Queen Khalida Neferher has reclaimed her homeland, but has to face the Vampire Counts who also lay claim to it.
- Ku’Gath Plaguefather, a servant of the Chaos God Nurgle fights the ancient civilisation of the Lizardmen on the Dragon Isles.
- Miao Ying, ruler of the northern provinces of the Cathay Empire must defend the Great Bastion against the onrushing enemies, such as Chaos Barbarians and Hobgoblins.
- N’Kari, a demon belonging to the chaos god Slaanesh, arrives on Chrace to either destroy or subjugate the resident high elves of Ulthuan.
What do you think of the new Immortal Empires video? Are you looking forward to conquering almost the entire continent soon, or do you not need an even bigger map? Are you disappointed that the new campaign will only be released as a beta? Feel free to write your opinion in the comments!
