Activision Blizzard has apparently fired more than 20 employee:s and disciplined 20 others. This is supposed to lead to a better workplace culture.
Activision Blizzard has had a tough time. The scandal surrounding workplace conditions, has taken a toll on the corporation. The company is still facing several lawsuits for a toxic workplace culture as well as (sexual) harassment and discrimination.
Now the publisher has released an internal memo talking about measures to change the workplace culture, including greater transparency.
More than 40 employees:inside face consequences
In the letter, Fran Townsend, Activision Blizzard’s executive vice president for corporate affairs, highlights three issues on which the company will focus more in the future:
“First, do not hesitate to fire or discipline those who violate our policies and do not contribute to a positive culture where all members of our team are treated with respect. Second, be transparent, not only about our investigative procedures, but also about the actions we take. Third, invest resources and people in ethics, culture and training. ”

Finally, the memo also addresses the handling of complaints, which include more resources for investigations, more transparency and further investigation of existing reports that have already led to disciplinary action: “In connection with various resolved reports, more than 20 individuals have left Activision Blizzard and more than 20 individuals have had to take other types of disciplinary action. “
