Uncharted 4 surprisingly confirmed for PC

Sony has more or less confirmed a PC port of Uncharted 4. Whether the first three parts of the series will also follow, on the other hand, is uncertain.

In a presentation addressed to investors, Sony has made it clear that in the future it would like to create further footholds on other platforms in addition to its own PlayStation home. These include not only cloud-related activities, but of course also the PC. And on the home computer, the next Sony IP will celebrate its premiere with Uncharted 4.

Next cracker is on the way

We could be in for a real highlight! Because in addition to Horizon: Zero Dawn, which has already been implemented for PC, the popular PlayStation draft horse from the house of Naughty Dog is also listed on the presentation slide in the form of a logo. The latest adventure of the daring treasure hunter Nathan Drake can therefore be expected in the foreseeable future!

A realisation would be a real stroke of luck for PC gamers. Uncharted 4 was already released in 2016 for the Playstation 4 and caused a sensation among our colleagues at GamePro. In addition to the fantastic visuals, they particularly praised the action-packed game design with light puzzle interludes as well as the exciting story around a pirate treasure.

When will Uncharted 4 be released for the PC?

When Sony will officially reveal the open secret is still up in the air. We can possibly expect news on this during E3 – or even afterwards, when Sony wants to use the attention of the trade fair days for the upcoming PS5 hits, such as Horizon: Forbidden West, for which there will be a livestream tonight.

It remains to be seen whether and with what improvements the PC version of Nathan Drake’s latest adventure will come along. The implementation of the last former PlayStation exclusive, Horizon: Zero Dawn, offered, among other things, a higher level of detail and frame rates beyond 60 fps – assuming powerful hardware, as can be seen in our review.

But why is Uncharted 4 the first, what about the predecessors? We asked Sony whether Nathan Drake’s first three adventures will also find their way to the PC. As soon as we get an answer, we will update the article accordingly.
