The Unreal Engine 5 has been officially released as a final version since 5 April 2022. This should now set the course for many developers to make the switch. But it will still be some time before we can marvel at the new features of the engine, especially Lumen and Nanite, in a real game. The Unreal Engine 5 is here! Are we finally getting NextGen graphics in games?
After all, there are tech demos. Of course, these don’t show us any game graphics to be expected in the near future, as there are a lot more resources available for pure graphics here (since power-hungry aspects of a game are missing), but it does let us dream, which is always quite a nice pastime after all.
The Coalition, who are currently responsible for the Gears of War series under the Microsoft banner, have already caused a stir with a tech demo of the Unreal Engine 5, and now they are following up with a new video. We won’t tell you what you can see in it here. Just spoil your eyes and let yourself be surprised!
