The unusual roguelike Vampire Survivors continues to go from strength to strength. Tens of thousands of players fight for survival against hordes of vampires.
Player numbers easily tripled
Vampire Survivors not only excites Dennis, but also more and more players on Steam. At the time of the last article at the end of January, the game already cracked the mark of 20,000 simultaneously active users.
Now the threshold of 70,000 has been broken! More than three times as many active players within barely a month are fighting the vampire apocalypse. That is quite an achievement for a small indie game.
This puts the title, which costs just 2.40 euros, in the same weight class as the big names on Steam. As of now, Vampire Survivors is the 20th most-played game on Valve’s distribution platform, right behind the long-running Rainbow Six: Siege.

Gamers love Vampire Survivors
Not only the steadily growing number of players should please the indie developer, but also the user ratings on Steam are extremely positive. Vampire Survivors is moving 45,000 players to (Reviews), of which a whopping 98 percent are positive.
This puts Vampire Survivors exactly on par with indie favourites like Stardew Valley or Rimworld. In addition to the fun gameplay, the low price is also likely to play a role in why so many users are giving the retro-roguelike a chance – and obviously not regretting it.
