The upcoming action shooter in the Warhammer 40,000 universe Darktide has been postponed to November this year, according to developer Fatshark . Originally scheduled for September, the co-op adventure set in the gritty Warhammer macropolis city was also due for a day one release on the Xbox Game Pass . However, in a Twitter post, Fatshark CEO and co-founder Martin Wahl now explains that in order to improve the game’s stability, performance and main gameplay features, the team simply needs more time.
He explained that Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will now be released on November 30 for the PC, but the Xbox Series X and S version will follow at a later, as yet unspecified date. Postponements are now an irrevocable part of video game development, after all, the makers want to bring out the best possible game without teething problems or other quirks. Of course, the whole thing is still a pity for players. Another piece of good news about Darktide is that an extensive beta test phase is planned before the release.
