Lucario is mainly recommended as an offensive character for the bottom lane, but can also switch between the lanes across the jungle thanks to the dash attacks.
Although Lucario has a pre-evolution in Riolu, the evolved form is directly available in Pokémon Unite. The battle Pokémon is a melee fighter that feels especially comfortable when it beats up all wild opponents like Ohrdoch on the bottom lane and levels up quickly. Choose Quick Attack to quickly attack the wild Pokémon. Above all, level 5 must be reached quickly in order to get the Power-Up Punch. This attack is the showpiece for the attack combination that turns Lucario into a dangerous Carry.
Power-Up Punch provides massive damage
Power-Up Punch is important for Lucario because he increases his power when the button is pressed. Especially when the opponent’s KP is low, the Power-Up Punch does even more damage. The next basic attack is increased and the cooldown (7 seconds) of the special attack is reduced as soon as the next attack hits.

This melee move makes Lucario attack the opponent head-on with bones several times, finally throwing the bone in the opponent’s direction. Another game-changing factor is on the upgrade from level 13: then the Bone Rush removes the cooldown of Power-Up Punch or the alternative attack Extreme Speed. This gives Lucario a combo that is as strong as it is fast in the late game.
As a bonus to Lucario’s attacks, the unite attack Aura Cannon is added, which increases the power of Power-Up Punch even more when used. As soon as this skill move, which requires precision, hits an opponent and Lucario can follow up with his attack combo, a multi knockout is almost guaranteed.
Offensive Items for Lucario
Carryable items like Muscle Band are almost mandatory for Lucario to increase base attacks. Likewise, Scope Lens should be used to increase critical damage. For further damage increase the Float Stone is an option and gives additional mobility outside of fights.
As a combat item, the Eject Button is a good choice to increase Lucario’s speed and escape rate. This provides the melee fighter with a trump card to dodge a strong attack or get to safety even in dicey situations. A secret tip for another item is the Buddy Barrier. When using the Unite attack, this item gives a massive shield that surrounds Lucario and a neighbouring ally.
