The sequel to the destruction racer is just around the corner and comes with new features

The spiritual legacy of theFlatOut series enters the next round. After the original team of the legendary destruction racer series got behind the development wheel to save their vision withWreckfesta second part is now in the starting blocks.

Wreckfest 2 has now been announced with the unveiling trailer and it’s back to wrecking for all it’s worth, so that no comprehensive insurance in the world can tear anything up. A few curses are thrown in for good measure

Wreckfest 2 is not just a mere sequel to Wreckfest, but expands the junkyard fun withnew and improved features.The latest version of the ROMU engine, which also provided FlatOut with destruction physics at the time, ensures that your cars will continue to be properly processed into sheet metal salad.

The sound system should also be betterThis left something to be desired in the first Wreckfest installmentand will hopefully provide a somewhat more immersive feeling in the sequel.

The biggest innovation, however, is the customization mode, which for the first time allows you to customize the colour of your vehicles. Not only can you paint every part of the bodywork and plaster it with stickers, you can also artificially embellish the bodywork with rust. Scratches are simply no longer enough for the used look.

Other features of Wreckfest 2 include:

  • various racing modes for single and multiplayer, including a career mode
  • Modding support
  • Challenge and tournament modes

Wreckfest 2 will be released forPS5, PC and Xbox Series consoles. However, an exact release date is not yet known
