You’re in the mood for some build-up? Then take a look at the July Game Pass lineup. We’ll give you the lowdown on all the new additions to the subscription.

Strategists, take note! If you have subscribed to the Xbox Game Pass, then three interesting new additions are waiting for you in July 2023. But of course there will also be new additions outside of strategy games – we tell you which games are coming and which will soon disappear from the subscription.

Remember that Microsoft never announces all the games of the month at once, but rather in batches. We’ll update this article accordingly (last happened on 6 July, we added five more games).

The Wandering Village

(Genre: Building Strategy – Developer: Stray Fawn Studio – Release: September 14, 2022 (Early Access) – In Game Pass from: July 20, 2023 (PC, Console, Cloud)

You don’t often find a building game like this: In The Wandering Village you let yourself and your settlement be carried through the world on the back of a giant creature. Whether you live in harmonious symbiosis with this creature, called “Onbu”, or ruthlessly exploit it for your own demands is up to you. You can nurture Onbu, for example, and thus gain its trust – but you can also tap into its bloodstream to cook pudding from it.

We already liked the pretty village simulation in Early Access, even if we would like to see a little more variety and ambition in the final release. So far, The Wandering Village was pretty easy to beat, even on the highest difficulty level.

GTA 5

(Genre: Action – Developer: Rockstar Games – Release: November 18, 2014 – In Game Pass from: July 5, 2023 (Console & Cloud)

Rockstar’s action masterpiece Grand Theft Auto 5 is now back in the Game Pass library. However, there is no separate version for PC players, but you can stream the game via cloud service on various devices.

Has anyone counted how many releases GTA 5 has already celebrated? Most recently, the polished version was released for PS5 and Xbox X/S – but it should be GTA 6 s turn next. Until that comes out, you can take a few more joyrides through Los Santos now!
