Strategy milestone Civ 6 is coming to PC Game Pass in March 2023, along with several other games. Here”s the compact overview.

Not a month goes by without Microsoft adjusting the offerings in Xbox Game Pass (for PC). New games come, old games go. This time, the latest addition to the venerable strategy series, Civilization 6, finds its way into the subscription. Among others, there”s also the new, strikingly chic Soulslike Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, which comes from Nioh- and Bloodborne producers.

What else will change in March 2023 with the PC Game Pass including which games will leave the subscription again, we summarise here for you as usual in compact form.

Update on 22 March: Microsoft has now announced two more games that will be released at the end of the month. Plus more titles leaving the subscription on 31 March.

Civilization 6

(Genre: Global Strategy – Developer: Firaxis Games – Release: 21. October 2016 – In Game Pass from: March 16, 2023)

Civilization 6 arrives on PC Game Pass. Microsoft is thus expanding the portfolio of its subscription with a real highlight in the strategy sector. As usual, you lead your nation to victory one turn at a time, starting very, very small.
You found your first settlement, develop resources, train your first armies and explore the world map. Soon you will meet other peoples with whom you can conduct diplomacy, trade or war. Of course, the AI has its own plans, which means that the history of mankind takes different, chaotic turns in every game.

The graphics of the building game are not necessarily to everyone”s liking, however. Civ 6 caused criticism among players because of its stylised style.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

(Genre: Soulslike – Developer: Team Ninja – Release: 3. March 2023 – In Game Pass from: March 3, 2023)

Directly on release, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty makes it into the Xbox Game Pass for PC. The developers from Team Ninja (Nioh, Ninja Gaiden) have brought producer Masaaki Yamagiwa on board, and remain true to the game principle Soulslike. However, they embed the whole thing in a new story.

You have to fight off an invasion of demons as a fighter with special abilities, which quickly brings the most powerful monsters on the scene, which you have to fight off in effect-rich boss fights.

A lot harder against players on Steam with Wo Long in court. There, the Soulslike stands with only 38 percent positive ratings on mostly negative
