There were a lot of new trailers at Summer Game Fest and the publisher events of the last few days. But which ones were the most popular?

In the past few days, a huge wave of game announcements, updates and trailers rolled over us. At Summer Game Fest, as well as at the Xbox and Ubisoft showcases, numerous blockbusters and sequels of well-known brands were presented. But what went down best with the fans? We list the trailers that have collected the most views on YouTube so far. We use the figures of analyst Benji Sales and our own analysis, which only includes videos with over 100,000 views. 10. payday 3

10th Payday 3

(Genre: Tactical Shooter – Release:September 21, 2023 – Views: ~1.8 million)

It was already known that the shooter with the characteristic clown masks would get a sequel. Now, however, gameplay has been shown for the first time. In Payday 3 you rob banks, warehouses and shops as a ruthless robber and have to escape from the police in time or take on the special forces.

9 Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

(Genre: Role Playing Game – Release:September 26, 2023 – Calls:~2 million)

Cyberpunk 2077 has now managed to reconcile many of its fans. The story expansion for the role-playing game is awaited with great curiosity and accordingly met with much interest. Phantom Liberty not only showed gameplay in the new trailer, but also finally revealed the release date.

8th Starfield Direct

(Genre: Role Playing Game – Release:September 6, 2023 – Calls:~2.1 million)

With Starfield the first single-player role-playing game from the developers of Skyrim in eight years will be released in 2023. Accordingly, the curiosity of the fans is great, and many of them watched one of the probably most detailed gameplay presentations. A whole 45 minutes are devoted to spaceships, base building, battles and the story.

7 Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2

(Genre: Shooter – Release:Winter 2023 – Views:~2.3 million)

Also Space Marine 2 was announced a long time ago, but is a bit stingy with gameplay. The new trailer is about the campaign, which you can also play as a group of up to 3 Space Marines. Here you face the attack of the brutal Tyranids, of which you have to fight back whole hordes. For the Emperor!

6 Sonic Superstars

(Genre: Plattformer – Release:Autumn 2023 – Views:~2.4 million)

The world’s most famous hedgehog is getting a new game. Sonic Superstars takes classic 2D platformers as its model and expands them with modern 3D graphics, new abilities and more. Besides Sonic, you can also play Tails, Knuckles and Amy Rose. For the first time, the campaign can also be experienced in co-op with up to four players.

5th Spider-Man 2

(Genre: Action-Adventure – Release:October 20, 2023 (PS5) – Views:~2.8 million)

While there was no new gameplay to be seen for Spider-Man 2 the teaser trailer with release date piqued the curiosity of many friendly neighbourhood spiders. The next Spider-Man game will be released on 20 October 2023 for the PS5, PC players will probably have to wait even longer.

4. Star Wars: Outlaws

(Genre: Action-Adventure – Release:2024 – Views:~3.2 million)

With Star Wars Outlaws Ubisoft showed its huge open-world game in the world of Jedi, Empire and Rebels for the first time. Already, the adventure of Kay and her fluffy companion is considered one of the most ambitious Star Wars games ever.

3. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

(Genre: RPG – Release:2024 – Views:~4.4 million)

Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth was announced almost a year ago, but now showed gameplay for the first time. Rebirth is the second part of the extensive remake of FF 7, and lets us leave the city of Midgar for the first time to explore the surrounding world. In the gameplay trailer, there is also a release year: Rebirth is set to be released in 2024 for the PS5.

2. Fortnite – Chapter 4 of Season 3

(Genre: Shooter – Release:June 10, 2023 – Views:~5.2 million)

The Battle Royale shooter has apparently lost almost none of its popularity: Fortnite announced its next season with a cinematic trailer, and it’s going to be pretty monstrous: Because here we can ride dinosaurs on the one hand, and also play as the giant machine creature Optimus Prime.

1. Mortal Kombat 1

(Genre: Fighting game – Release:September 19, 2023- Views:~6.8 million)

Caution, it’s getting brutal: The lone leader of the most-watched trailers is Mortal Kombat 1. In keeping with tradition, the first gameplay trailer for the fighting game got down to business and only a few bones remained unbroken. Mortal Kombat 1 is a reboot of the now decades-old brand that continues the story in an alternate universe.
