Controller players complain about too little Aim-Assist in XDefiant, is the game already doomed before its release on PS5 and XBox?
The controller vs. mouse & keyboard war goes into the next round, but this time not as usual in Call of Duty, but in its current biggest competitor XDefiant. Will the new shooter have to deal with the same problems as Warzone 2 even before release?

It could be so easy, a new promising shooter that is even Free2Play and makes the developers of genre primus Warzone 2 sweat more than the mere mention of the word “sport” makes me sweat, but a few players are currently anything but satisfied with XDefiant.
As is usual with modern first-person shooters, Ubisoft’s new CoD killer also lends a hand to controller players and provides them with an Aim Assist to compensate for the disadvantage compared to mouse & keyboard.

While this is known to be ridiculously strong in Call of Duty and almost makes aiming with one’s own hands unnecessary, the shooter from Ubisoft apparently relies on a little more initiative when aiming at enemies.
On Twitter, one player is now venting and complaining loudly that the Aim Assist in XDefiant is too weak and that he will not play the game until it is improved.
I should aim myself!?
Particularly players who got used to the luxurious Aim Assist from CoD might have been disappointed during the Open Play Session between 21 and 23 June.
One could almost think that the developers expect players to move their fingers independently to hit their opponents, a cheek!
Shocking news especially for CoD veterans who, especially in Warzone 2, could play one-handed or with their feet after only a short training session and still get headshots across half the map.

Controller players “threatening” to stop playing a shooter because the Aim Assist seems too low to them might be the equivalent of a bag of rice falling over, especially for PC gamers who play with mouse & keyboard.
Initial reports of PC gamers bursting into tears after hearing about the threat turned out to be true, by the way, though according to anonymous sources these were tears of laughter.
