Like every week, Epic Games is giving away new games for free. This week, you can win a trip to Tokyo, among other things.
As every week, you can currently get free games that you would otherwise have to pay for at the Epic Games Store. This time, you can look forward to two titles that, although both have to do with magic, could hardly be more different.
One is a dark open-world experience with Japanese folklore, and the other is a colorful multiplayer title where you play hide and seek in a convivial group. Until November 7, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. you have time to add the games to your library for free. After that, there will be new games again.

Highlight: Ghostwire: Tokyo
(Developer: Tango Gameworks – Genre: Survival Horror/First-Person Shooter – Release: March 2022)
In Ghostwire: Tokyo, you play the survivor of a paranormal event in which all the inhabitants of Japan’s capital Tokyo suddenly disappear. What is left is now in the clutches of a powerful and mysterious occultist with supernatural abilities.
Your task is to save the city and put the evil force in its place. To do this, you will team up with a vengeful ghostly creature who will also endow you with supernatural abilities such as telekinesis or force projectiles. These serve as weapons that you can unlock and improve as you progress through the game.
You’ll need them, because during your adventure you’ll regularly have to face nasty occultists and abstruse monsters inspired by Japanese folklore who won’t hesitate to tear you to pieces.
All in all, you can imagine Ghostwire: Tokyo as a balancing act between open-world, horror and magic shooter.
Ghostwire: Tokyo comes from the developer studio Tango Gameworks, founded by Shinji Mikami, which is also responsible for the modern horror classic The Evil Within and the music game Hi-Fi Rush. After it was closed by Microsoft, it has now found a new home with the Korean publisher Krafton.
