Big gun, big helmet and a big demo. At Steam Next Fest you can try out the shooter RoboCop: Rogue City for free
RoboCop: Rogue City is more than just a blunt shooting gallery. Developer Teyon’s single-player shooter also conceals a (small) cyberpunk role-playing game. You can find out for yourself at the Steam Next Fest whether this is something for you.
All the important info about the demo
- When is the demo available? You can still download and play the trial version until October 16, 2023, at 7pm time via Steam .
- How big is the download? You need to download about 38 GB.
- What content does the demo offer? After an opening mission you can follow part of the main story. In the semi-open world, you can also expect some side quests.
What to expect
It’s back to the action cinema of the 80s and at the same time to the dystopian Detroit of the near future. As a steely vigilante, you patrol the streets, but there is more to it than just shooting
Before the first ones avert their eyes – don’t worry, in this shooter there is of course also frequent and extensive shooting. Because with your armour you are unstoppable, while you go on a gangster hunt with a pistol at the ready.
In close combat, you’ll be handing out steel-gloved bells and, as a burly cyborg, throwing a chair or motorbike at the outlaws.

More than just a simple shooter
The story of the game takes place between movies 2 and 3. You do normal police work So you follow clues, investigate crime scenes and arrest criminals
You don’t always have to pull out your Auto-9, as an investigator you can make your own decisions in the dialogues and solve situations without violence. The choices during the storyline even lead to different endings.
There is even more role-playing in RoboCop: Rogue City. As you level up, you can unlock new abilities and upgrade your armour. You can become better as a fighter, but also as an investigator.
You can see all this for yourself in the extensive demo. The planned release date for RoboCop: Rogue City is 2 November 2023. The game is also scheduled for release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
