Become a big gaming influencer with just a few clicks? Sure you can! Well, at least virtually in Youtubers Life 2. The sequel not only wants to improve the gameplay around video shooting, fan meetings and lifestyle, but even has real Youtuber celebrities on board.
The ten licensed influencers in the game have really big names: Felix Kjellberg, aka PewDiePie, is known to pretty much every gamer, since he has gathered an army of 110 million subscribers on YouTube behind him.
Paluten and GermanLetsPlay are also popular and well-known in Germany. Other big names from the YouTube cosmos in Youtubers Life 2 are Rubius, Laurenzside, Crainer, Vegetta777, InoxTaq and xFaRgAnx. So the international YouTube celebrities are represented.
What are the stars doing there?
In Youtubers Life 2, the influencers help the players as “Guardians” to get their own career as a content creator rolling. In other words, they act as advisors, so to speak. In this way, virtual up-and-coming YouTubers meet their idols, work together with them in side missions and thus gain important knowledge about how to become really successful as a video creator.
As Spider Man’s uncle would say: With great power comes great responsibility. So the successful YouTubers should also prepare them on how to be a positive role model. Sergio de Benito of publisher Raiser Games explains:
“Fame is a fickle thing, and like movie, pop and sports stars before them, YouTubers have experienced over the last decade that everything they do or say is scrutinised once they break through. We felt that having real-life YouTubers in the game was a must for Youtubers Life 2, as they are the only people on the planet who can give advice with any authenticity based on the ups and downs they have both enjoyed and endured during their time in the public eye. ”
Youtubers Life 2 will be released later in 2021 for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
