The Summer Update 2022 for GTA Online makes two new weapons available to players. We tell you how to get your hands on the Service Carbine and the Precision Rifle.
The Criminal Enterprises is the latest update for GTA Online! Not only does it deliver fresh cars and missions, but also two new weapons that you can use to make Los Santos unsafe: the Service Carbine and the Precision Rifle.

Duty carbine
- Class: Assault Rifle
- Available at: Can be unlocked via a Collectible hunt, once you have collected all five parts, the weapon will automatically end up in your inventory
Only available since 25 August: The new M16-like assault rifle from The Criminal Enterprises has been a bit of a wait. In the meantime, Rockstar has unlocked a collectible hunt, through which the service carbine can be added to your inventory.
How the scavenger hunt works: To unlock the service carbine, you have to unlock five parts of the weapon in the open game world of Los Santos. This works via random events that reveal crime scenes with a small blue dot on your minimap. So keep your eyes peeled!
This is what you get as a reward: If you search for the weapon parts, you will not only get the service carbine, but also some money and experience points. You will receive 5,000 GTA dollars and 2,000 RP per weapon part. Once you have collected the last component, you will receive an additional 50,000 GTA dollars as a reward. This means that you can earn a total of 75,000 GTA dollars with the collection quest.
How to find the weapon parts: Thanks to the Dataminer Wildbrick142 and also the YouTuber GTA Series Videos we know where exactly the five different components of the weapon can spawn. Once you have entered a new session, you should be able to find the locations within 20. Once you have found a part, it can take up to 30 minutes for a new crime scene to appear.
There are ten different possible spawn points for the crime scenes and thus the weapon parts of the service carbine. Have a look at the following map:

Precision Marksmanship Rifle
- Class: Sniper rifle
- Price: 391,500 to 450,000 GTA Dollars
- Available at: your agency armoury or AmmuNation
What kind of gun is this? A new sniper lands in GTA Online with the precision rifle. Shooting with this weapon at long distances is always a challenge. The precision rifle does not have a telescopic sight and cannot be equipped with additional attachments and modifications. Only the colour can be adjusted.
The bolt action mechanism also ensures that every shot has to be right. Once you have fired, your character first has to load the next bullet into the barrel, while the magazine only holds ten bullets. But the precision rifle packs a punch.
For whom is it suitable? With a price tag of almost half a million GTA dollars on AmmuNation, you should consider the investment carefully – the precision rifle is not exactly suitable for every type of gamer.
