Features: What can the agency do?

The Agency is the hub of the new storyline featuring Franklin Clinton, Lamar Davis, Dr. Dre and DJ Pooh. In order to get access to the different missions of The Contract, you have to get the new property. Here is a small overview, by the way, you can start all missions alone and without a fellow player.

Security missions: These missions take place in the open game world and vary depending on the type of mission. Sometimes you have to eliminate enemy gangs, sometimes you have to destroy your enemies’ goods, return stolen goods or defend your clients’ goods against attackers. Note that there is a cool-down of a few minutes after each completed security mission before you can start another one.

VIP missions: These missions are the actual core of The Contract. The story revolves around Dr. Dre and his stolen mobile phone, which we have to recover together with Franklin. The missions themselves can best be compared to the car repair shop missions of KDJ and Sessanta and can be described as “mini-heists” with a clear conscience.

You unlock the VIP jobs after you have completed one or a few security jobs via your agency’s laptop. Franklin will then contact you to arrange a meeting at the Los Santos Golf Club. Look for the F icon on the map to unlock the VIP jobs and start the actual story of The Contract.

You will unlock the VIP assignments of your new agency only after you have completed at least one security assignment.

Phone Box Assassinations: These missions are – as the name suggests – fairly simple contract killings. Franklin contacts you via a public phone and gives you the details. If you also fulfil special conditions as to how the assassination is to take place, you will receive a fat bonus payment. You can also unlock the phone box assassinations by completing a few security missions beforehand.

Agency laptop now also available in solo sessions
: At the launch of The Contract you only got access to your agency laptop in public sessions. According to Rockstar, this was a bug that has now been fixed. You can now also access the VIP assignments in solo and friend sessions, while for phone box assassinations or security assignments you just have to call Franklin anyway.

Only your agency's phone assassinations can be played in private sessions. Security and VIP assignments are only accessible in public sessions.

What else the agency offers: Incidentally, at the agency you can also fill up your snacks, has a garage with 20 parking spaces and has the option of vehicle or helicopter deliveries.

Prices: How much does the agency cost?

The Contract gives you the choice between four different locations for your agency, which differ in price accordingly. The costs for the different basic versions without upgrades are as follows for the ingame site Dynasty8Executive:

  • Little Seoul: 2,010,000 GTA dollars
  • Vespucci Canals: 2,145,000 GTA dollars
  • Rockford Hills: 2,415,000 GTA dollars
  • Hawick: 2,830,000 GTA dollars

By the way, if you buy the most expensive agency with all the upgrades, your costs will add up to a total of 5,507,500 GTA dollars.

Which location is the best? Which agency you choose depends largely on where your other properties are located. Since all four locations are quite central in Los Santos, the differences are actually very limited. We at least noticed that Little Seoul (the cheapest agency) is a bit awkward to access, while Hawick (the most expensive agency) has the best view.

Upgrades: What modifications are available?

Optical upgrades for the agency

The following upgrades are purely visual and do not bring any gameplay benefits. Here you should simply choose which design option appeals to you personally the most:

  • Art for up to 340,000 GTA dollars
  • Wallpaper for up to 442,500 GTA dollars
  • Highlight for up to 100,000 GTA dollars

Agency upgrades with game-changing benefits

What’s in the Armoury for 720,000 GTA Dollars? In your agency’s armoury, you can not only customise your loadout, but also buy additional ammunition or armour. At the same time, you have the opportunity to purchase upgrades for all your weapons and exchange attachments. Here you can also access the two new weapons: the stun gun and the compact EMP launcher.

Is the Armoury worth it? The armoury is a handy addition, as you don’t have to leave your property to stock up on ammunition or customise your weapons. If you want to buy two of the three new weapons, you won’t be able to avoid the upgrade anyway. A nice bonus: In your armoury you get a five percent discount on all purchases.

An in-house armoury is always handy, as you don't have to leave your own four walls to stock up on armour and ammunition.

What does the living area for 275,000 GTA dollars get me? In the living area of your agency you get access to your wardrobe. You can also choose the new property as your spawn point. Sometimes Franklin’s dog Chop hangs out on your private sofa or in your bed.

Is the living area
worth it? If you currently want to concentrate on the new missions and features of the agency, the living area for your agency is well worth it. If you use it to set the agency as a spawn point, you will save the trips to the property.

Your living area brings with it the advantage of being able to select the agency as a spawn point. You can also change your clothes at the wardrobe.

What can I do with the workshop for 800,000 GTA dollars? With the workshop, you can modify vehicles in your agency’s garage. What’s particularly exciting here is that hacker Inami can equip some of The Contract’s new cars with two particularly exciting upgrades: the remote control unit and the guided missile jammer.

The latter protects you from automatic targeting by enemy guided missiles. But be careful: Imani-Tech can currently only be installed in four cars: the Buffalo STX, Champion, Deity and Jubilee.

Will the workshop be worth it? If you want to make use of Inami’s upgrades for selected cars in The Contract, you will inevitably have to bite the bullet and spend almost a whole million on the workshop.

Since most of the new missions can only be played in public sessions, we highly recommend the guided missile jammer to protect yourself against helicopters, jets or Oppressor Mk2s from enemy players.

The guided missile jammer is always useful to be prepared for annoying confrontations with griefers.
