At the moment, more and more details about the League of Legends 2023 Preseason are surfacing on the PBE, with 2 items in particular catching players’ eyes that could completely turn the game on its head.
Teleportation is one of the most important spells in Lol, which allows players to teleport to allied units within a very short time. A well-placed teleport can not only save teammates, but also decide who has the upper hand on the map.
In the game itself, there was no possibility to gain teleportation abilities later, but two new items in the item shop could change that.
Teleport with shoes
Game designer and Surrender@20 contributor Spideraxe30 shared a picture on his Twitter account of a new pair of boots in the League of Legends shop: The “Boots of Teleportation. “

These new shoes cost 1,200 gold and are made from a ruby crystal and boots. They give their owner an additional 45 running speed and 250 life. The active ability of the shoes is exciting!
The new item allows you to teleport to a location near an allied champion, tower, minion or ward after a 4-second channel. This active ability has a 240 second cooldown. This is a full minute shorter than the current cooldown of the teleportation spell.
Teleport with new weapon
In addition to shoes, another new item has been discovered in the game by Spideraxe30 that allows a champion to teleport: the “Sword in the Stone”.

The weapon costs 3,400 gold and is composed of a giant sword and the Aegis of the Legion. The completed item gives its wearer 55 attack damage, 35 armour, 35 magic resistance and 15 ability speed. The item’s active ability, Call of Destiny, also allows the player to teleport to an allied champion after a 4-second channeling. This and all other teammates will receive a shield upon arrival.
Do the items come into play?
Shortly after the discovery of the new teleport items, League of Legends designer Phlox commented on the new features.
Sorry amigos, this one slipped into the build I guess.
No plans to ship these boots at current time, they were an early exploration for toplane stuff.

The shoes are just part of some new ideas for the top lane, but there are currently no plans to bring them into the game anytime soon. The new AD item will also not be coming to the live servers, according to Phlox.
This is how the community reacts
Although the items won’t be coming to the game for now, the consideration of teleportation items has raised questions among players. Is Riot planning to remove the Teleportation spell from the game and replace it with purchasable items in the long run?
This would be a big change as top and mid laners would not have to decide before the game if they want to take Teleportation. This would allow them to adjust their tactics more actively during the game and additionally use a different spell. In addition, players from other roles could also buy the teleportation items and thus be more active on the map.
