Syndra is a popular mid-lane champion, especially among League of Legends pros. Now, after nine years, she is finally getting a visual update to her skills.

Syndra is one of the champions that have been in the League of Legends universe for a long time. Accordingly, some animations may already be a bit outdated. Riot Games now wants to change this.

Older champions get updates

Riot Games shared on Reddit that Syndra will soon receive a visual update after a whole nine years. The basic skin, but also other skins of the champion will receive slight visual changes. But special focus is on the abilities and her basic attacks.

The LoL developer emphasises that the changes are only small updates and are intended to refresh some of the oldest champions. Therefore, they cannot be compared to a complete visual update.

The visual changes refer to the skins, especially to older representatives of Syndra. Some of the newer skins will only receive small or no changes at all.

Riot is also trying to listen to the opinion of the fans and is actively calling for comments on Reddit. Some wished for more “darkness” in Syndra’s appearance and abilities, as it is after all “the dark ruler”. Riot already tried to incorporate this suggestion.

The changes will be available on the PBE servers for the first time in patch 11.21.
