In the final patch before the end of the current season and the start of Preseason, Riot Games fixes a few changes from past patches and responds to Yuumi’s dominant presence at Worlds.

The latest patch in League of Legends is expected on Wednesday. Riot Games’ game designer Phlox already shared the exact details of the upcoming patch again on Twitter last week. These changes may still change minimally.

Frequently played champions are affected by the changes. A Renekton buff will reverse the shortening of his W-Stun from patch 11.18: instead of lasting one second, it will now last 1.5 seconds again. Riven and Akali should also be seen more often on the top lane after this patch. With better scalings, both do more damage, while Riven’s E-shield scales significantly better.

In terms of nerfs, Qiyana and Yuumi are hit the hardest. With a pick and ban rate of a whopping 96 percent, the kitten is definitely the most present support champion at this year’s Worlds. While the nerf will no longer affect the Worlds, surely the developers have been inspired by the stats from the event.

Qiyana now receives less base HP and also gains less HP with each level. In addition, the base damage and AD scaling of her Q.

Item Goredrinker improved again

The only known system update so far is a buff to the Goredrinker item. Instead of an additional 400 HP, this item will now have 50 HP more. The Omnivamp value will also increase from eight to ten percent. With these changes, Riot Games is making up for part of the last nerf, which was very detrimental to the item.
