Tahm Kench is waiting for his mini rework. Now Riot Games has revealed the plans for the changes.

Something is moving in the swamp: Riot Games already announced a few months ago that they would rework the champion Tahm Kench. Now there are concrete plans for the mini-rework of the supporter, who can sometimes also take on the role of the top laner.

In the latest Ask Riot, the developers promise to put the changes for Tahm into action this summer. Riot Games is happy with the development of the gameplay and only needs to adjust some animations before releasing the mini-rework.

The main goal of the changes is said to be a better balanced gameplay experience for the King of the River. To achieve this, some changes are to be made to his Ultimate and his W ability. Tahm’s trademark is eating enemy and allied champions, which is to become his Ulti. Therefore, the W ability is to become a kind of mobility spell in the future, which is to function similarly to his current Ultimate. Just with less range.

With the changes to Tahm Kench, Riot Games is also hoping for a better distribution of the champion in the leagues. Currently, Kench is barely an issue in the lesser elite realm, while he’s consistently a strong performer in the professional realm. The improvements should now make the swamp monster more attractive and playable for the masses.
