Abilities of the new champion

On October 15, Riot Games officially revealed the abilities of the next champion, K”Sante.

  • Passive – Fearless Instinct:  K”Sante”s abilities that deal damage mark enemies. When he attacks a marked enemy, the mark is consumed and he deals additional damage based on the enemy”s maximum life.
    • No Restraint: When K”Sante attacks a marked enemy, he deals additional absolute damage instead of normal damage.
  • Q – Ntofo Strike: K”Sante strikes with his weapon, dealing normal damage and briefly slowing hit targets. When an enemy is hit, K”Sante gains an increase. With two boosts, he sends a shockwave instead of the normal ability that draws enemies in.
    • No Restraint: Ability no longer slows targets, but has reduced cooldown.
  • W – Enabler: While the ability is charging, K”Sante takes a defensive stance, becomes unstoppable and takes reduced damage. When the ability triggers, he charges forward, dealing percentage damage depending on the target”s maximum life and knocking enemies back. Enemies hit are stunned for a short time depending on the charge duration of the ability.
    • No Restraint: The ability”s cooldown is reset, the reduction of damage taken is increased, enabler deals additional normal damage depending on the ability”s charge duration and the charge and jump speed are doubled.
  • E – Footwork: K”Sante jumps and briefly gains a shield. If he jumps to an allied champion, the distance of the jump is significantly increased and he also grants the ally a shield. Other abilities can be cast during this ability.
    • No Restraint: The jump speed is increased, the jump has increased range and goes over walls.
  • R – No Restraint: K”Sante deals normal damage and knocks enemies back. Enemies who hit a wall take high normal damage and are pushed over the wall and stunned. K”Sante jumps after the opponent and has “No Restraint”.
    • No Restraint: He loses a percentage of his maximum life, armour and magic resistance. Attack damage and omnivampire are increased and his abilities transform.

When is K”Sante coming out?

The release date for K”Sante has been officially confirmed. The new champion will be released on November 2, along with patch 12.21.

What is the champion concept of K”Sante?

but can be broken off at any time and thus quickly change into sharp blades. These special weapons are called “Ntofos” and are characterised by their versatility and flexibility.

It is not yet known what the new champion from Shurima will look like. Riot Games has also not yet shared more detailed gameplay insights with us.

What do we know about the backstory of K”Sante?

K”Sante comes from the city of Nazumah in Shurima. The people of Nazumah prevailed in battle against dangerous monsters in the Shurima desert, establishing their community at the only water source far and wide.

Unlike the rest of Shurima, however, this city is not subservient to the Emperor of the Sands, Azir. K”Sante leads the fighters of Nazumah in the fight against the dangers of the desert and, according to Riot producer Reav3, has personally taken down one of the most dangerous desert monsters ever. From the regenerating armour of this monster he made his Ntofos, with which he has been defending the city ever since.

How does the LoL community react to the announcement?

Although it still seems relatively quiet around K”Sante, there are already some theories about what the abilities of the new top laner could look like. Among others, there is a theory on Reddit that Riot Games has based its design heavily on the game Monster Hunter.

Furthermore, it is noticeable that K”Sante has an apostrophe in its name. Until now, this was always a sign that a champion came from the void (e.g.: Vel”Koz, Kha”Zix, Bel”Veth). Accordingly, some League of Legends fans have noticed this and are busy thinking and discussing what exactly this deviation could mean.
