Riot released a new teaser for the upcoming champion number 164. All information about Darkin Naafiri can be found here.
At the beginning of the year, Riot Games announced a new Darkin Champion. Now the first teaser for it has been released.
Naafiri’s abilities – update from 22 June
Riot now also released a video showing Naafiri’s abilities.
Passive – We are More: Naafiri summons members of her pack who attack the target who also attacks Naafiri.
Q – Darkin Dagger: Naafiri fires up to two daggers and deals bonus damage if the target is suffering from bleeding. Her pack leaps forward and attacks in addition.
W – Hounds’ Pursuit: Naafiri leaps forward at the opponent with her pack, hitting the first target in the way and dealing damage.
E – Eviscerate: Naafiri jumps and deals damage to nearby enemies. As she does so, she summons the pack back, healing it completely.
R – The Call of the Pack: Naafiri calls additional pack members, giving her running speed, more vision and a shield when attacking enemies. If a champion is killed, the effect is renewed.
Naafiri – the new champion
Riot Games is aware that the Darkin series with Aatrox, Varus etc. excites many fans. Accordingly, they announced back in January that they would be adding another Darkin Champion from Shurima. Hints were also given about this one, so we already have some information about Champion number 164.
As Darkins are always some kind of demon within a weapon, Naafiri is seen in the form of a blade. This makes the assumption that it must therefore be an assassin that can be played on the mid-lane.
Furthermore, fans were already quite sure that Naafiri must also have something to do with dogs, as developer Reav3s already made some dog puns and allusions in the announcement. This is also confirmed by the new teaser from Riot Games.
What abilities Naafiri will have is still unclear. The form of the champion is also still uncertain, but it is quite possible that this Darkin will lead a pack of dogs and possibly be able to change into different forms.
The release date is also still unclear, but after the release of the teaser it can’t be too long before we meet Naafiri in the Rift. As soon as there is new information about the new champion, you will also find it on our page.
