The LoL Event Pass will be massively changed. A completely new scoring system is now to be implemented in League of Legends soon.

Riot Games has numerous changes planned for the LoL Event Pass. The development studio revealed details of the revamp in a (Blogpost) last Friday.

The current points system in LoL is being replaced with a new one. With the upcoming system, points will be awarded based on minutes played rather than how many games were played.

The changes will be implemented in League of Legends from 9 December. This is also when the Debonair event will start in the game. The new system is intended to be more respectful of the time invested by the players.

  • ARAM and event game modes: 4 points per minute played and 6 points for victory
  • All TFT modes: Earns 2 points per minute played for 5th to 8th place and 3 points for 1st to 4th place.
  • Co-Op vs. AI game: Earns 1 point per minute played and 2 points for winning.

Some missions are also included in the changes to the LoL Event Pass. However, certain challenges will remain unchanged, such as “Kill 600 Minions”.

  • Weekly Missions: Earn 40 points, win earns 5 points, lose earns 2 points → Earn 1650 points by playing and winning; Earn 4 points per minute played or 6 points per minute in victory (reward 250 tokens)
  • Orb Missions: Play 30 games – Earn 4500 points (reward 1 Event Orb and 40 tokens)
  • Token Bank Missions: Play a game (reward 2 to 10 tokens, depending on game mode and win/loss) → Earn 400 points (reward 20 tokens)
